SYNTHESIS in Shanghai this summer.

As part of the USC School of Architecture's AAC (American Academy in China) in partnership with Shanghai Tongji University  - Alvin Huang will be leading a design workshop focusing on recursive towers. The AAC will run from June 16 - August 4 and will include a two day design conference featuring USC alumnus and Pritzker Prize laureate, Thom Mayne (Morphosis), as keynote speaker for the XXL: Supertall Buildings AAC conference to be held in the College of Architecture and Urban Planning of Tongji University, Shanghai, on 16 June 2012. Other speakers include Yansong Ma (MAD) and Patrik Schumacher (Zaha Hadid Architects). UN Studio, SOM, KPF and Gensler will also be represented.
