Waiting for Guggenheim exhibition at USC

There will be an opening reception for the Waiting for Guggenheim exhibition and round table discussion at the USC School of Architecture at 5:30pm Wednesday April 8th. The event will feature design proposals by 8 USC faculty for the recent Guggenheim Helsinki competition, which as you already know was the most subscribed architectural competition in history with over 1700 entries submitted globally.

It will be a unique opportunity to see the diverse range of design approaches and design responses from 8 members of the same faculty applied to the same site and program in the context of a global design output.

The featured faculty and firms are:

Yo Hakamori, DesignARC - Architecture + Interiors
Alvin Huang, SDA | Synthesis Design + Architecture
Wes Jones, Jones, Partners: Architecture
Aaron Neubert, Aaron Neubert Architects
Lorcan O'herlihy, Lorcan O'Herlihy Architects [LOHA]
Warren Techentin, Warren Techentin Architecture - WTARCH
Patrick Tighe, Patrick TIGHE Architecture
Chris Warren, WORD // Warren Office for Research and Design

The panel discussion will be moderated by Stephen Phillips of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo College of Architecture and Environmental Design and SPARCHS.

If you can't make it to the opening event, the exhibition will run from April 6 to April 13th and is free and open to the public.
