There will be an opening reception for the Waiting for Guggenheim exhibition and round table discussion at the USC School of Architecture at 5:30pm Wednesday April 8th. The event will feature design proposals by 8 USC faculty for the recent Guggenheim Helsinki competition, which as you already know was the most subscribed architectural competition in history with over 1700 entries submitted globally.
It will be a unique opportunity to see the diverse range of design approaches and design responses from 8 members of the same faculty applied to the same site and program in the context of a global design output.
The featured faculty and firms are:
Yo Hakamori, DesignARC - Architecture + Interiors
Alvin Huang, SDA | Synthesis Design + Architecture
Wes Jones, Jones, Partners: Architecture
Aaron Neubert, Aaron Neubert Architects
Lorcan O'herlihy, Lorcan O'Herlihy Architects [LOHA]

The panel discussion will be moderated by Stephen Phillips of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo College of Architecture and Environmental Design and SPARCHS.
